What kind of extra virgin olive oil is best for skin?

I told my mom that extra virgin olive oil, which is also used for cooking, is for good for skin care and she didn't believe me, telling me that there was a different olive oil for skin from cooking. So, what kind of extra virgin olive oil do I use for skin? The same kind for coking, right? I bought organic xtra virgin and used it on my face, was wondering if i was right or wrong. Thanks.

Also, if anyone knows a specific brand that is the best please let me know
I've read many sources that said it is good for skin. And that Michelle Phan/Rice bunny person on youtube also says it's very hydrating and it's one of the ingredients for a good scrub for dry skin , and also said that the molecules are too big to clog pores [and she is a makeup artist]. Soo anyone have RELIABLE sources that say NOT to use it on your face?

I don’t recommend it because it goes rancid. I’m outnumbered 9 to 1 by people who just do it. There is no “one” brand. If it’s extra virgin, they are all the same. Unico may be one, Mastro is another good one, Bertolli is excellent…. for cooking. I like Aloe Vera gel for the skin.

No. Not on your face. A little bit can help moisturize your hands, but not on your face.

You are absolutely right, EVOO is wonderful on the skin when in combination with castor oil..I dont think it matters what the brand of EVOO you use, it is the same as the cooking one. Use equal portions if you have combination skin and if you have more oily skin use more castor oil. Then place hot towel over your skin for a minute and gently wipe with colder cloth.
