? Recommendations for All-Natural or Organic Moisturizer (Skin Care)?

I am looking for some product that is relatively all-natural or "organic" (doesn't have all the junk of normal products and is good for the environment also) that will be a suitable moisturizer.

I used to use the Oil of Olay Products, but i do believe they are drying out my skin. I don't know whether this is relevant to diet, or the products but i think maybe both. Aveeno makes my skin break out; as do most products like it. *thinks* Maybe it's just because I am getting old? ROFL. Anyways, That's why i am asking for something different. This is Face and General Body.

PS: As is i cannot have perfumes or dyes in my skin care products as i'm allergic.

Suggestions? Thanks.

*edit* Minx: you know ..... half the time you sound like you're preparing to cook yourself as opposed to maintaining general health. LOL! I am certain the remedies work though .... xoxo

Try that hemp stuff. You know I dig anything hemp :)

I use Aveeno Unscented. I dont know what it has in it, but it works really good.

I score major points among my friends when I recommend Lush Vanishing Cream moisturizer. That’s if your skin is oilier or problematic (i.e. acne). If not, Lush has some other moisturizers, and all their stuff is organic. Most Lushies are addicts, their products use limited packaging, are made of all natural ingredients, are organic and handmade. You might have a store near you, but ordering online is just as good.

Hey you…… psssht, getting old !! you cheeky girl …. i don’t think so luv…….. mate, i’m 45 and my skin is super soft …….. I use organic extra virgin cold pressed (contains no trans fats) olive oil mate ………. cold pressed extra virgin olive oil is unrefined and made with the highest quality olives without using heat …… i use it on my face, on my hands, all over moi…….. it’s relatively inexpensive, has no nasty chemicals and other toxins for sensitive bodies to ache over and is really very very good for your skin.

Its an Omega 9 oil and has long been regarded as the “beauty oil”…. olive oil is rich in mono unsaturated fats and in vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, E, K and iron … it also contains lots of fabulous phytonutrients such as the flavones… your body’s cells incorporate the valuable fats from olive oil, making arteries more supple and skin more lustrous…. research shows that people who consume the most olive oil …. along with fish, nuts and fresh fruits and vegies…. have the least wrinkling…….. maybe that’s why i don’t look a day over 16 then ….. baa ha ha ha ….. sorry, weak attempt at humor there ….. no, seriously i use it religiously and my skin is so supple and soft mate ….. it can be a little greasy till you get used to it but the benefits far outweigh any perceived downside i say…….. just pat off the excess after you’ve moisturised with a towel as you would with a regular moisturiser.

If you decide to get some purchase your oils in small quantities, keep them refridgerated and toss out any unused oils after 3 months……… buy them in glass bottles too …….. all oils, especially flaxseed, gradually oxidise or turn rancid …… the result of age as well as expsoure to light and air.

Try it luv … you’ll be amazed at the difference in your skin……. hard and dry skin, greasy pores, pimples, bumps and even acne will all begin to disappear with regular pampering with olive oil .. your skin will feel velvety smooth and silky…. i promise.

It only costs me about $10.00 AUD for a 500ml bottle.

haha, cheekybutt …… freshly oiled and ready to go luv.

lol about minx! okay, this question is fun. i love all the products by ‘kiss my face.’ they make a body moisturizer called ‘tighten up’ and it is great! as far as facial moisturizers go, i just discovered a line of products called ‘say yes to cucumbers.’ (how cute is that?!) that is what i’m using as a facial moisturizer, although like you, i also use oil of olay. btw, we aren’t getting old, the winter air is just making us feel like we are :-) if you try the ‘kiss my face’ moisturizer and like it, you will probably also like the ‘whenever’ shampoo. it is organic and meant to be used every day.
(i also use the detangler spray from the kids section. it works!) xoxox

  6. Hi- You might try California Baby Super Sensitive Everyday Lotion for face and body. No nasty chemicals and no fragrance at all, not even botanical fragrance which many other natural and organic ones have. It’s what I’ve used for years and it works very well. And you can buy it at Target and I think Whole Foods too but Target’s price will be better.
    Good luck!
