Really good, inexpensive natural/organic skin care and hair care?

I am trying to move toward a more organic lifestyle for my family and my 10-month-old baby. I'm having trouble finding good, natural skin and hair care that doesn't cost a fortune! I don't have $30 for a bottle of face lotion or $25 for a bottle of shampoo, as much as I would like to be able to spend that.

I'm in my late 30s and dealing with aging, still acne-prone skin, and have curly fine hair. The natural products I have tried - just from a trip to the very-limited natural foods store we have in our small town - just don't work well for me. I know there's a transition, but red skin and products that make my curly hair flat and take the curl out really don't work for me.

Can anyone give me recommendations on great products that work well for you? Thanks so much!

I like Dr. Bronner’s products. Their liquid peppermint soap really wakes you up in the morning. They also have baby and sensitive skin products. A little bit of their soap goes a long way.
Their shampoo and conditioner has worked fine for me although I have straight hair.

Plus, the bottles have really strange philosophical writing on them. Dr. Bronner was an interesting individual.

    SURE.
We had the same decision two years ago.
I was looking for many site, and the best one I have found is http://www.expederm.com , most of the products are natural, and half are organics (most of the cosmetics) – http://www.expederm.com/beauty.html

anyway, I had no problem with their products, and I have found that the use real premium products.

Something really nice – you can ask their experts (herbalist, doctors ) for free, we have learned alot this way.

BTW – I got their newspaper last week and the mentioned that they are adding line of organic products for babies :) we used the the Dermedy kids for all rash we had (and we had a lot of problems..) here is the link: http://www.expederm.com/baby-kids.html

I hope it will assist you !

i think it’s good a lot more inexpensive to have a regular skin care regimen. In general, if you want to combat aging, focus on both internal and external skin care regimens.
